ReplyDeleteThat's a bit of a stretch in every way. Opinions varied a lot on Beth from the moment she joined the group, even among the most seasoned roomies. I made my own judgment, and the situation eventually turned out very poorly. But it was a lot of fun for many years. Hmmmm... reminds me of my marriage. As with my marriage, did things with Beth turn out poorly because of my initial judgment or because she changed? For both relationships, I'm fairly sure that I'll never know the answer.
And of course the ending of my friendship with Beth was painful. That's the downside, sometimes, of taking risks. It's an integral part of simply being human...
I wonder why Neil isn't on the list for those going camping. I see Tom and Mark on there. Maybe Neil cramps Beth's style. Can't mess around with your significant other there!
